Maintaining Proper Boundaries Course
I am pleased to serve as part of core faculty for the "Boundaries Course" jointly sponsorship by Vanderbilt
Medical Center and Sante Center for Healing. The Course provide CME
credits for physicians, dentists, and healthcare providers and is also open to
other professionals including attorneys, therapists, and clergy.
Course Goals:
- Understand the ethical standards and sexual boundary issues in healthcare relationships
- Identify risk factors in the education and training of physicians, physicians assistants, dentists and other healthcare providers
- Explore family of origin issues and core personality factors that may contribute to boundary conflicts or offenses
- Learn about healthy sexuality
- Develop plans for establishing appropriate boundaries with self, staff, colleagues and patients
Who Should Attend:
This course is appropriate for physicians,
dentists and other healthcare professionals who require Board sanctions less
severe than licensure revocation. Hospitals, institutions and treatment
centers may refer practitioners for continuing medical education specialized for
healthcare professionals as prevention or as an adjunct to a relapse prevention
plan.
Where and When
This is a three-day course and carries 21 hours of CME category 1 credit, documented through Vanderbilt University Medical
Center. It is offered at Sante Center for Healing throughout the year.

Enrollment is limited to 15 participants
due to the intensive nature of the course. Course tuition is $1,400.00
which includes lunches and continental breakfasts. A $700.00 deposit is required
to reserve a space.
